Shin Woo Yeo is a very attractive and intelligent writer, but he's also a nine-tailed fox who's been alive for 999 years. In order to become human, he has to collect human energy in a small bead.
One night, while helping her drunk friend off of a fancy car that happens to belong to Woo Yeo, university student Lee Dam accidentally swallows the fox's bead when it falls out of his mouth.
The bead can only stay inside a human body for a year before it breaks and kills the person. So, Woo Yeo proposes that they live together until they can figure out a way to remove the bead from Lee Dam. Though she's never had a boyfriend before, Lee Dam agrees to live with the handsome and mysterious Shin Woo Yeo.
